Summer
workshops for University of Idaho graduate or undergraduate credit (1
credit) are offered each year. Each workshop is two days in length. The
graduate credit fee in Summer 2011 has not yet been set by the University of Idaho.
-
Day #1 will include an all-day field trip into the heart of
Idaho Agriculture. This will provide a "first-hand" experience
with agriculture and a chance to visit with agriculture people who are
involved daily in the production of food and fiber for the world. Bring
a sack lunch.
-
Day #2 will include a variety of student activities for you
to assimilate into your classroom lesson plans.
-
On Day #2 lunch will be a new product on the market from the
beef industry.
-
The AITC Curriculum Guide and grade level Student Activity
books to supplement your lessons will be available for purchase.
-
Bring a good-sized shopping bag for all the fun, creative
ideas and samples you will pick up in the Ag in the Classroom workshop. Our
legacy is great. We give teachers hands-on units that bring to life such
issues as water, food, clothing, shopping, and living in rural America.
-
Workshop begins each morning at 8:30.
|
You will experience 16 hours of fun, food,
tours, hands-on student activities, and a wealth of materials you can use
in your own classroom resource library.
Agriculture is all around us -
share its importance with your students.
